How to Manage Courses

The Ukkera Instructor Dashboard provides a comprehensive suite of tools to create and manage your educational content. This guide will walk you through the process of setting up and maintaining your courses.

Prerequisites

  • An active Ukkera Instructor account.
  • Course materials (videos, documents, etc.) ready for upload.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Creating a New Course

To start sharing your knowledge, you first need to create a course container:

  1. Navigate to the Courses section from the sidebar.
  2. Click on the New Course button.
  3. Fill in the course details, including Title, Description, and Category.
  4. Upload a high-quality Course Image to attract students.
  5. Set your Pricing and Visibility (Public or Private).
  6. Click Save to create the course.

2. Adding Lectures and Content

Once your course is created, you can populate it with content using our 3-level hierarchical structure:

  1. Sections (Level 1): The broadest category of your course content.
  2. Chapters (Level 2): Organized topics within each Section.
  3. Lectures (Level 3): The actual teaching materials (Videos, PDFs, etc.) inside each Chapter.

Related Guides

To add content:

  1. Open the course you just created and go to the Lectures tab.
  2. Create a Section first.
  3. Inside your Section, click Add Chapter.
  4. Inside each Chapter, click Add Lecture.
  5. You can upload Videos, PDFs, Images, or add Plain Text and Links.
  6. Use the Whiteboard feature for interactive teaching sessions.

3. Editing and Updating

You can update your course information at any time:

  • Use the Edit icon next to any course or lecture to change its details.
  • To delete a course, use the Delete button (Note: This action is permanent).
  • For detailed content visibility settings, see the Lecture Availability Guide.

Tips

  • Promo Codes: Boost your sales by offering discounts. See the Promo Codes Guide for full instructions.
  • Content Visibility: In the course settings, you can toggle whether students see "Closed" (locked) lectures. If turned off, these lectures will be completely hidden from their view until you unlock them.
  • Organize with Chapters: Breaking down your course into clear chapters helps students follow the material more easily.
  • Copy Course Link: Use the "Copy Link" feature to share your course directly on social media or with your students.
  • Active Website: Ensure your website is active in the settings before sharing links.
