Wallet, Subscription, and Resource Management

Learn how the Ukkera wallet works, how to manage your subscription, and the logistics of adding students and storage.

Wallet, Subscription, and Resource Management

To keep your academy active and functional, Ukkera uses a Wallet system and a flexible Subscription model. This guide explains how to manage your balance, active your academy, and scale your resources (students and storage).

The Ukkera Wallet

Your Wallet is the central hub for all financial transactions within the dashboard.

  • Purpose: Balance in your wallet is used to pay for your monthly subscription, add more student capacity, or increase storage for your materials.
  • Adding Balance: You can top up your wallet using the available payment methods in your region (e.g., Credit Card, Fawry).
  • Automated Deductions: When you perform actions like adding a student during an active cycle, the system will deduct the required amount directly from your wallet.

Subscription Basics

Your subscription is the "heartbeat" of your academy. It must be Active for you and your students to access courses and materials.

Activation

  • You must have an active subscription to publish your website and allow students to log in.
  • Subscriptions are typically renewed every 30 days.

Resource Limits

Your academy resources are managed differently based on their type:

  1. Student Capacity (Subscription-based): The maximum number of students allowed in your academy. This is a recurring cost based on your student enrollments and is renewed every 30 days.
    • Status Toggle: Deactivating a student does not reduce your used capacity. A student still counts toward your subscription as long as they appear in your list.
    • Per-Course Counting: Seats are counted per enrollment. If one person is enrolled in two courses, they count as two students.
  2. Storage Capacity (One-time Purchase): Unlike students, storage is not tied to your subscription duration. Think of it like buying a physical hard disk; you pay for it once, and it stays with your academy permanently.

Scaling Your Student Capacity

Ukkera offers a highly flexible, pro-rated pricing model for students.

1. Student Pricing & Balance

  • 30-Day Cycle: Student pricing is calculated based on a 30-day window.
  • Mid-Cycle Additions: You can add new students at any time during your active subscription if you have sufficient Wallet Balance.
  • Recharging: If your wallet is empty and you need to add students or renew your subscription, you must top up your wallet using your region's available payment methods (Credit Card, Fawry, etc.).

2. Adding Students During a Subscription

If you increase your student limit before your current subscription ends:

  • Pro-rated Calculation: You only pay for the remaining days until your current subscription expires.
  • Example: If there are 10 days left in your cycle, you only pay for 10 days of the student's monthly rate.

3. Removing Students

If you decrease your student package size:

  • Wallet Refund: The amount corresponding to the remaining days for those removed students will be automatically credited back to your Wallet.
  • This ensures you never lose money for capacity you aren't using.

Adding Storage for Materials

As you create more content, you can expand your storage capacity:

  • Lifetime Purchase: Storage is a single-payment resource. It does not expire and is not linked to your 30-day student subscription.
  • Availability: Once purchased, the extra space is immediately available for uploading high-definition videos, PDFs, and other course materials.
  • Upgrading: You can purchase additional storage blocks at any time through the Subscription page.

Managing Your Account

To view your current balance, end date, and usage:

  1. Navigate to the Subscription page from the sidebar.
  2. Here you can see:
    • Active Students: Currently used vs. Total capacity.
    • End Date: When your current subscription expires.
    • Wallet Balance: Your available funds for upgrades.

Quick Tips

  • Keep a small "buffer" in your wallet to handle sudden student growth.
  • Monitor your storage usage regularly to ensure you don't run out of space during a course upload.
  • If your subscription expires, your student access is temporarily paused until you renew from your wallet balance.
  • Inactivity Policy: If your subscription remains inactive for more than one year (365 days), your uploaded materials and course content will be permanently deleted to free up system resources. While your purchased storage capacity will remain on your account, the actual files will be removed.
